New
Electronic Technology Vertriebsges. mbH (NET GmbH) presents:
The FOculus Tiny
IEEE1394 camera series comes in monochrome and color and includes a 1/3"
CCD image sensor. The two models are available in VGA/XGA resolution.
The lens mount can be C-/CS-mount. The FOculus Tiny series completes
the FOculus line and is IIDC 1.31 compliant.
The FOculus
S-series has been completed by the FO442SB/SC with a 2/3" CCD image
sensor. The S- and T- series are available with a lockable IEEE1394 connector
via lock-screws.
After completing the FOculus
Series NET is able to offer the ideal
camera for nearly every application according casing, image sensor size,
resolution and frame rate.
Main field of application are
machine vision, positioning, microscopy, semi con inspection, Barcode,
Matrix code, OCR, OVC and much more.

NET
New Electronic Technology GmbH continues expanding its range of monochrome
and color IEEE1394 cameras. The new FOculus models offer the advantage
of a user-friendly small body along with other additional features.
The new S-series (e.g.
FO124SC) measures 29 x 44 x 63mm and is equipped with SONY CCD
Matrix image sensors from 1/3 to 1/1.8 like the already well known standard
series
(64 x 64 x 60mm). The cameras
achieve resolutions from VGA (640x480) with up to 86fps, UXGA (1600x1200)
with 16fps. The IEEE1394 connector can be locked with srews to withhold
every environment.
All models (incl. existing types)
obtain the IEEE1394 interface acc. IIDC V1.31 specification.
Higher frame rates can be achieved
by setting a ROI (Region of Interest) under Format 7(e.g. selecting a
window of 60 x 60 Pixel to obtain 300 fps). Binning modes are also available
(2x2 and 1x2). Binning is a useful option to obtain noise reduction or
explicit light sensitivity. Furthermore the camera runs 2- or 4-times
faster in fact of the reduced resolution.
All known characteristics of
the FOculus series like C-mount, progressive scan, external trigger, low
smear, excellent anti-blooming, high sensitivity, variable shutter speed,
as well as an adjustable low frame rate, sub-sampling and electronic shutter
are still effective.
Beside the included Viewer Software
a complete SDK (Software Development Kit) is available to download from
Website www.net-gmbh.com
The FOculus series runs with WDM
and CMU driver.
The Application Programming
Interface (API) is compatible to the following software libraries - -
MVTec's Halcon & Active Vision Tools, Matrox's MIL & MIL-Lite
und National Instrument's LabView and allows the flexible integration
into various applications.
After completing the FOculus
Series NET is able to offer the ideal camera for nearly every application
according casing, image sensor size, resolution and frame rate.
Main field of application are
machine vision, positioning, microscopy, semi con inspection, Barcode,
Matrix code, OCR, OVC and much more.
With more than 250 lenses in
many different variations our partner V.S. Technology Corporation offers
one of the most complete portfolio for image processing application.
You will find among them a series
of telecentric, distortionless macro, Mega Pixel CCTV and low distortion
lenses, especially designed for machine vision applications, line scan
lenses, macro Pin-Hole lenses, and many others.
The range includes also accessories
as right angle mirror units, prism units, offset prisms, extension tubes
and filter of all sizes.
V.S. Technology Corporation
meets special requirements in developing customized lenses
(OEM) i.e. segmented lenses, 90° angled lenses
or lenses for systems with cameras
operating synchronously (2 cameras;
FOculus
cameras with IEEE1394 Interface have no cable lengths limitation
The DCAM standard (IIDC v. 1.3)
specifies a max. cable length of 4.5meter for cameras based on IEEE1394
technology. NET New Electronic Technology GmbH offers a solution with
the optical repeater FO800R for applications where longer cable distances
have to be covered.
The FO800R consists of
two repeater being connected via glass fiber optic cable. This kind of
data communication makes it easy to reach distances of up to 1000meter
between camera and PC. The speed for IEEE1394.b standard reaches 800,
400, 200, 100Mbps and for IEEE1394.a standard 400, 200, 100Mbps.
A cost effective way that doesn't
require a configuration after the connection from camera to PC has been
completed. The FO800R includes two repeater, one power supply and
two IEEE1394 cable. The necessary optical cable is available in lengths
from 10 to 1.000meter.

The FOculus camera series from
NET New Electronic Technology has been extended by two new cameras FO134B/C
and FO234B/C. Both versions are available in color or monochrome
and feature the same IEEE1394 Interface, like the already existing 18
models.
Equipped with a ½ Sony
CCD Image Sensor they differ in resolution and frame rate. The FO134B/C
supports 60fps
at VGA resolution (659 x 494
pixel) and the FO234B/C supports 50fps at SVGA resolution (782
x 582 pixel).
All features are identical to the
FOculus series like housing dimensions, C-Mount, progressive scan, external
trigger and electronic shutter.
This extension presents a solution
in regards to sensor size, resolution and frame rate for almost every
application that can occur.
FOculus
product line consists of 9 color and 9
monochrome camera types equipped with SONY CCD image sensors from
1/4" up to 2/3. Resolutions from VGA (640 x 480) with 60 fps up
to UXGA (1600 x 1200) with 10 fps.
FOculus
was designed for industrial imaging applications with full IEEE1394 (FireWire)
support according to IIDC V1.30 protocol, external trigger, progressive
scan mode,
C-Mount lens mount.
Besides the standardized small
and durable housing all cameras stand out with low smear, excellent anti-blooming,
continuous variable shutter speed, high sensitivity, low frame rate and
sub-sampling.
NET's FOculus
cameras can be used for applications such as machine vision, robotics
control, positioning, microscopy, inspection and much more.
Every FOculus
camera is supplied with viewer software suitable for all models, a complete
SDK is optional. Our Application Programming Interface (API) is i.e. compatible
to MVTec's Halcon & Active Vision Tools, Matrox's MIL & MIL-Lite
and National Instrument's LabView, just to name a few, can be used to
integrate FOculus products in a user specific
application.
